As we wrap up another year, it’s always good to reflect on the accomplishments we’ve made and the progress we’ve achieved. For me, this year has been particularly memorable as I have been honored to receive two prestigious awards. For the second year in a row, I have been named the Ambassador of the Year, and I have also been named the Entrepreneur of the Year for the Alvin-Manvel Area Chamber of Commerce. In addition to these, I was also asked to lead the ambassador team. These accolades are a testament to the hard work and dedication I have put into my career and community involvement.
Being named Ambassador of the Year for the second year in a row is truly an honor. As an ambassador, I have had the privilege of representing the Alvin-Manvel Area Chamber of Commerce and helping to promote and support local businesses. This award is a recognition of the effort I have put into building relationships with businesses in the area, attending events, and providing support to other ambassadors.
As an entrepreneur, being named Entrepreneur of the Year, along with my business partner, Jake Starkey, is also a huge accomplishment. Starting and running a business is no easy feat, and being recognized for my efforts is truly humbling. The Alvin-Manvel Area Chamber of Commerce is a great resource for local entrepreneurs, and I have been proud to be a member of this community.
These awards have not come without their challenges. Balancing my time between my business, community involvement, and personal life has been a juggling act, but I have learned to prioritize my time and delegate responsibilities when necessary. I have also learned the importance of networking and building relationships with others in the community. By working together and supporting each other, we can all achieve great things.
Of course this post wouldn’t be complete without me mentioning that I teamed up with five fellow local businessmen to take home the Championship trophy at the Community Health Network’s Dodge for a Cause Dodgeball Tournament back in July. Thank you to my friends for joining me in weaving, dodging and pelting our opponents at this great event.
Looking back on this year’s accomplishments, I am proud of what I have achieved, but I know that there is still much work to be done. I look forward to continuing to grow my businesses and to serve as the lead ambassador for the Alvin-Manvel Area Chamber of Commerce. I am grateful for the support of my family, friends, and colleagues, and I know that with their help, I can continue to make a positive impact in my community.
